Ahhhhhhh! The Rays take one of two at home! With their backs against the wall, the Rays took 11 innings to do it but they came out on the victorious side at 1:35 AM this morning. It was a back and forth game all evening and into the morning. With one out and the bases loaded in the bottom of the 11th, B.J. Upton hit a short sacrifice fly to score pinch runner Fernando Perez to win the game.
Now this scene looks a lot more like it as the Rays celebrated in the wee hours of the morning. If you listened to the telecasters of last night's game, you would know that I was not the only fan that thought that the Rays quit on Friday night. However, there was no quit in them last night as they battled back and forth with the world champs.
Next up for the Rays is a pleasant 3-game stay in Beantown where they must take 2 games!
Now, if we can just get this bunch to get hot and get back on track.....
