Thus far I have seen several things that are extremely positive in the Cleveland Indians that we haven't in a long time. 1. Aggresiveness. Manny Acta brings with him aggressive style of play that is going to win you ballgames. 2. "If offense is the greatest problem this team has were in great shape" -Manny Acta- Offense. This team IS going to hit the ball.. While you cant win games with 2 runs, you can see an obvious improvement in one Travis Hafner, and now Choo is coming back around. When Brantley, LaPorta settle in expect good things as well. Will Asdrubal Cabrera take his game to the next level?? I think if your looking at spring training, I'd say "YES!" 3. Fausto/Jake. Fausto is back..maybe not 07 back..but hes back..10+ wins from Jake and Fausto and I would be ecstatic.

Keep in mind..balls fly way different in Arizona. Give the team a couple weeks to adjust. Both pitchers/catchers. I can at the absolute minimum guarantee the proper direction is being taken for the Cleveland Indians. Love the Manny Acta difference.Contributing Writershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12042665328819931242noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6093993755114754749.post-31130084560752035282009-10-27T11:41:19.179-04:002009-10-27T11:41:19.179-04:00Mark Cuban has been looking to buy a MLB team... He kills the Orioles in August.

But when he has to win a playoff game (and good luck with that lineup) he'll choke it away, just like he always does.

160 mil is a lot of money for a guy who has never won a meaningful game in his life. Here's his post-season career stats: 1-3, 7.92 era.

Sabathia couldn't handle the pressure of winning in Cleveland or Milwaukee. How is he going to handle the media frenzy in New York?

Here's my vision: He will start the season opener in the shiny new Yankee Stadium, where some season tickets cost upwards of $65,000.

Sabathia will come out, give up his usual 6 runs in the first 4 innings because he's trying too hard, and he'll get booed. Ladies and Gentlemen, your 2009 Yankees!

But he'll shut down Texas on the road in his next start.abhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13949523854293877425noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6093993755114754749.post-37405742296780392652008-11-28T16:12:00.000-05:002008-11-28T16:12:00.000-05:00thanx for sharing such nice words about herb score...thanx for sharing such nice words about herb score. if austin carr is mr. cavalier, then score was truly mr. indian. i grew up in the 70's listening to herb call the games on the radio and even when the indians were losing, you just couldn't turn the radio off or you might miss another one of his patented "herbisms" like this gem - "2 runs, 3 hits and after 3 innings, we're still scoreless". my all-time favorite came in the 1997 alcs against baltimore, game 6, top of the 11th inning when tony fernandez hit a home run to put the indians up 1-0 and herb yelled out "and the indians win and will go to the world series". umm, did i mention it was the top of the 11th??? that means that baltimore still had to come to bat in the bottom of the 11th. i thought for sure herbie jinxed us right there and baltimore would score 2 runs in the bottom of the 11th and win the game. thankfully that didn't happen, but you can be sure that herb swallowed just a bit harder than normal after that one. hee-hee!!! no but seriously though, he may have had his flaws, but doggone it, i would much rather listen to him than anyone else they had on the tv broadcasts. although i do like tom hamilton now on the radio, but nobody on the tv has ever quite captured my imagination like herb did. i just loved his new york accent when he pronounced certain players names like "joe caw-tuh" and "corey sny-duh" and "omah vizquel". what was really funny was listening to him trying to pronounce carlos baerga's name. i never did think he got it right. hell, i don't think he ever said it the same way twice, even in the same game. god bless you herb score and may you enjoy eternity in that happy hunting ground in the sky.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6093993755114754749.post-64523080108951047312008-10-22T18:55:00.000-04:002008-10-22T18:55:00.000-04:00Forget the curveball Ricky, throw him the heater!Forget the curveball Ricky, throw him the heater!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6093993755114754749.post-10693223452817907102008-10-20T17:21:00.000-04:002008-10-20T17:21:00.000-04:00BRAVO!BRAVO!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6093993755114754749.post-57550867632314122552008-10-18T11:01:00.000-04:002008-10-18T11:01:00.000-04:00Boston has all the momentum now... the Rays need t...Boston has all the momentum now... the Rays need to pull it out tonight.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6093993755114754749.post-19776829266057502172008-10-04T06:42:00.001-04:002008-10-04T06:42:00.001-04:00Ellen,I need your contact info @bdijulius@windstre...Ellen,
I need your contact info @bdijulius@windstream.netBig Daddyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15841426284340166075noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6093993755114754749.post-57321440767501888802008-10-04T06:42:00.000-04:002008-10-04T06:42:00.000-04:00Ellen,I need your contact info @bdijulius@windstre...Ellen,
I need your contact info @bdijulius@windstream.netBig Daddyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15841426284340166075noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6093993755114754749.post-34836819274713373742008-10-02T21:09:00.000-04:002008-10-02T21:09:00.000-04:00I too, like the Rays all the way. I like Lou Pinella and I wish he was managing in Cleveland but when Casey Blake left Cleveland, I felt that a huge team player would be sorely missed. I am rooting for Casey. Also for Joe Torre. I felt like Cleveland finished him with the Yankees last season but we did him a huge favor. I love his State Farm commercial! Go Rays! Go Dodgers!Big Daddyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15841426284340166075noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6093993755114754749.post-2178378502424354802008-10-02T16:50:00.000-04:002008-10-02T16:50:00.000-04:00Sounds pretty good but I can't figure out who to r...Sounds pretty good but I can't figure out who to root for in the Cubs/Dodgers series - I don't like the Cubs and I can't stand Manny Ramirez.

I'm rooting for the Rays all the way.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6093993755114754749.post-76382557167327105012008-09-30T08:17:00.000-04:002008-09-30T08:17:00.000-04:00Wow!
